Ruoxin Mao

Educator and Coach

Ruoxin (she/her) is a Relationship Skills Coach at Le Tusa. She facilitates the CONNECT and PASSION programs and holds 1:1 skills sessions with participants.

Before joining Le Tusa in February 2025, Ruoxin spent four years providing crisis intervention services to children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health conditions. This experience led her to realize that social relationship skills and sexuality knowledge are essential building blocks for navigating challenges and leading a life of one’s own choosing.

Ruoxin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Gerontology. Earlier in her career, she spent four years supporting the psychosocial well-being of Holocaust survivors in a skilled nursing facility under the guidance of the person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) approach.

Ruoxin was born and raised in China. She speaks Mandarin and understands some Cantonese. She’s a proud dog mom and loves spending time with her pup in the mountains or at the beach. She also appreciates humor and enjoys sharing laughter with others!
