Support for Grief and Loss

If you have gone through a loss or are going through a loss now, you are invited to join Le Tusa’s monthly Heart to Heart Grief Group. Loss can include the death of a friend, family member, staff, pet, a romantic or friend break-up, going through the aging process or illness.

This program includes FREE monthly in-person group sessions led by Le Tusa Grief Guides. Our grief guides support you with your grief and loss, listen to your experiences, guide activities, offer tools, and help you make plans to care for your grief.

    • Any person receiving regional center service, or using self determination plan (SDP)

    • Must be 18 years old and older

    • Experiencing grief or loss

    • Wants to participate in an in-person group with other people

  • A caring monthly grief support group where people can come together to honor their grief and receive support.  We will gather to share stories, listen to each other, do activities and support one another.

  • Monthly Group Sessions are IN PERSON at the Le Tusa Office in Sausalito, CA. The address will be shared after registrering.

    Optional 1:1 Support Sessions are offered online on Zoom.

  • The first Thursday of every month from 3:30-5:00pm. The first group will be April 2nd, 2026 and will be monthly through November 2026.

  • Being together, learning from each other and supporting one another can help us heal and be with our grief and loss.

  • Please sign up by March 6th down below. Once you sign up on the web page, a Le Tusa grief guide will reach out to you by March 20th to ask you questions and help you prepare for the first group on April 2nd.

Monthly In Person Grief Groups

Grief Group Sessions are a chance to connect with other people who have or are experiencing grief and to be a part of a creative, supportive and healing community. There are 10 spots available for the grief group and we ask that participants attend all 8 group sessions.

  • Sharing personal grief rituals

  • Exploring diverse cultural & religious grief rituals

Group 4: July 2nd

  • Using art, music and writing to express grief

  • Creativity as a tool for healing

1:1 Grief Counseling Sessions (OPTIONAL)

Le Tusa offers separate 1:1 zoom grief counseling sessions with a Le Tusa grief guide. These 1:1 sessions are optional. Le Tusa will collaborate alongside you and your regional center social worker for funding for 1:1 grief counseling sessions, if you choose.  There are only a few spots available for 1:1 grief counseling sessions.
