Job Support and Job Experiences By Jasmine B. (Le Tusa Community & Programs Partner)
What Is It Like for Me to Have a Job Coach?
I had the opportunity to work with several job coaches who supported me with my projects, work, email formatting, social skills, and client communication. They have all been very supportive of me, my job, and my projects. They have also been helpful whenever I need advice or someone to talk to.
My job coaches work for Toolworks, an organization that helps people find jobs and provides support to people in their workplaces. I think it is a great organization, and I recommend Toolworks to anyone who is looking for a job coach. I have enjoyed working with my job coaches Rachel, Carollanne, and Maria. They have all been very kind and supportive. Although I have not worked with them for a very long time, I am looking forward to continuing to work with them and working together on more projects for my Le Tusa Projects.
What Is My Le Tusa Job Experience Like?
My role as a co-leader for JOIN IN has been a wonderful and meaningful experience. It has given me an opportunity to connect with participants, listen to what they have to say, and have a leadership role. Being part of the leadership team is an honor. I am learning so much from my supportive co-workers at Le Tusa, including Thea Sheets and Tiffany Cleveland. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with them and participate in the Le Tusa Symposium, which partners with the Golden Gate Regional Center.
I was able to represent Le Tusa at our vendor booth and inform the community about our helpful advocacy programs for neurodiverse adults. These programs focus on sexuality, romantic relationships, friendships, and connection, which are important experiences for our clients.
I have also co-facilitated a couple of RCEB CHOICES workshops, and I have had great experiences working with my Le Tusa Team and Staff. I enjoy attending team meetings and going to the office in Sausalito.
I was allowed to take professional headshots of the Le Tusa Staff team because I have a passion for photography. I am very grateful for that opportunity and all the opportunities Le Tusa has given me.
Thank you.
